In this role, you will play a crucial part in enhancing the skills and knowledge of our technical workforce. The ideal candidate is passionate about learning and possesses a deep understanding of adult learning methodologies in a technical context. Here's how an Technical Training Specialist for our Edmonton NAHQ office contributes to our team: Responsibilities Collaborates with subject matter experts and instructional designers to design, develop, and update courses. Deliver or co-facilitate technical training programs for employees at various skill levels. backsses the needs of the participants/learners and adjusts instructional strategies. Contributes to standardizing, streamlining, and enhancing the technical training program at PCL. Administers online courses, backssments, case studies, and evaluations. Responds to inquiries from stakeholders (learners, subject matter experts, instructional designers, facilitators, and human resources and professional development teams) on technical curriculum, course contents, and case studies; writes reports, and new course business cases. Researches best practices, advancements, and trends in the construction industry, and identifies opportunities for incorporating them in the training program. Identifies needs for new course development and works with relevant stakeholders to maintain and update existing courses.
