Addiction and Mental Health Worker, Youth Housing Full-time, Contract (End date: February 1, 2025) London, Ontario - Application Deadline: January 18, 2024- Every person in our community has the right to safe, affordable, quality housing and to live with dignity and as much independence and choice as possible. Our Independent and Youth Housing programs embody this ideal by providing stable, independent housing, with regular supports, for individuals experiencing mental health or addictions concerns. As a member of this team, you’ll work with residents to build life skills, grow their personal strengths and ultimately, achieve greater wellness and independence. You will also enjoy the benefits of a 4-day work week, as your night shifts will be scheduled on a bi-weekly basis of 7 shifts per week. Successful candidates must have a Police Vulnerable Sector Check completed in the last six months. Interested applicants who reside in the City of London and are in need of a Police Vulnerable Sector Check (PVSC) are encouraged to apply for one as soon as possible as PVSCs in the City of London are currently taking approximately 2 weeks to be processed and offers of employment cannot be made without receipt of a PVSC. WHAT WE'RE OFFERING: What you'll be making - $22.33 to $25.71 per hour (Practicing Professional Grid): The above are initial rates; with grid increases as per policy Internal staff members will be placed on the appropriate grid based on their current rate of pay, up to Level 8 of the grid (see Intranet Policy - bit. ly/Compensation Policy Pg16 ) When you'll work -70 hours biweekly; Rotating days, afternoons and evenings, including weekends; including a paid 30-minute meal break Your pension plan - Eligible for optional enrolment n the Healthcare of Ontario Pension Plan (HOOPP) PSLRTA Notice - This posting characterizes this position as currently.
