Florence Unified School District #1 is seeking qualified applicants for the following position: Secondary Math Teacher-Anticipated Openings Location: District Wide School Year: 2024-2025 Date Available: 07/08/2024 Position Purpose: As a secondary Mathematics Teacher covering grades 6 to 12 in the Florence Unified School District, you will have the unique opportunity to nurture students' mathematical growth across a range of levels and topics. Your responsibilities will include designing comprehensive and engaging lessons, fostering critical thinking, promoting problem-solving skills, and helping students develop a solid foundation in various branches of mathematics. Your role contributes to the overarching mission of delivering exceptional education by equipping students with the mathematical proficiency needed for academic success and future pursuits. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Education, Mathematics, or a related field; teaching certification is required. Proven experience in teaching high school mathematics across various grades and levels, with a strong understanding of mathematical concepts and instructional strategies. Effective classroom management skills and the ability to create an engaging and intellectually stimulating learning environment. Strong communication skills, both written and verbal. Education & Certification: Bachelors degree or higher in the core area content Masters Degree (M.A.) in Education, or related field (preferred) Minimum of three (3) years of previous teaching experience or school experience in teaching Math (preferred) Valid Arizona IVP fingerprint clearance card Valid Arizona Teaching certificate
