We are working closely with a well: established medium: sized main contractor based in London that is after a design manager to join the team to work specifically on heritage projects. With a strong focus on preserving and enhancing historic structures, they take pride in delivering high: quality construction services. As they continue to grow, they are seeking a talented and experienced Design Manager to join their team. Key Duties and Responsibilities: Project Management: Lead and manage the design process for heritage projects from post: tender through to completion. Collaborate with internal teams, architects, and external stakeholders to ensure smooth project progression. Monitor project timelines, budgets, and quality standards. Listed Buildings Expertise: Demonstrate a deep understanding of working with listed buildings and Grade II structures. Navigate and comply with regulatory requirements related to heritage projects. Team Coordination: Effectively communicate design concepts and requirements to the project team. Collaborate with architects, engineers, and contractors to align design goals with construction objectives. Risk Management: Identify and mitigate design: related risks throughout the construction process. Implement proactive measures to address potential challenges. Quality Assurance: Oversee the design to ensure it meets the specified standards and aligns with heritage preservation guidelines. Conduct regular design reviews to uphold quality and compliance. Client Engagement: Engage with clients to understand their vision and requirements for heritage projects. Provide design solutions that meet client expectations while adhering to heritage preservation principles. Requirements: Proven experience as a Design Manager within a main contractor environment.
