Job Description LS Technologies, LLC is seeking a Systems Engineer/Integrator to support the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA). Responsibilities Implement test plans, migration plans, and delivery plans Prepare design documents and presentations. Clearly describe the design, including rationale for decisions and implications of decisions Applies senior-level engineering knowledge and systems analysis concepts and techniques to develop and apply solutions to engineering, scientific, or management problems. Develops and executes test and evaluation plans, procedures, and reports, and evaluates and recommends designs and/or alternative approaches to design that provide the optimum solution while balancing specific project needs at various life-cycle stages. Uses scientific and engineering logic to independently identify conceptual or theoretical solutions to computer hardware, software, network, system design, and operational requirements. May apply engineering principles to perform functions such as system integration, configuration management and quality assurance testing. Skills above may also be utilized to perform advanced hardware and software information technology assessment, design, and implementation. Conducts comprehensive system-wide review and analysis of all aspects of the National Airspace System (NAS) development life cycle, particularly the Air Traffic Control (ATC) system, ATC Automation, Communications, navigation and surveillance elements of the NAS. Requirements Must have 3 or more years of relevant experience. Experience/familiarity with National Airspace System (NAS), Enterprise Architecture and Operational Improvements, and the FAA's Acquisition Management System (AMS) . P rov e n, e f f ec t i ve in t e r ac t ions and c om m unic a t i on with e x ec ut i v e s, man a g e rs, e mp l o y ee s, c usto m e rs, a n d stakeholders. Experience with Con ce ptual, L o g ic a l, and E x c h a n g e models. Proficiency with MS Office Suite, including Project and Outlook. Experience with implementation of data exchange standards, SOA services and Information Engineering a plus. F l i g ht qualifi c a t i ons/ e x p e ri e n c e (Priv a te, I nstrument, Com m e r c ial, e tc.). Experience with FAA pr o gr a ms or s y ste m s such as; S W I M, ERA M , T B FM, T FM S , S TAR S /TAMR, ATOP, TFDM, E-IDS, ATC, etc. Experience with Future ATM concepts such as: Aircraft Access to SWIM, UAS Traffic Management, Trajectory Based Operations, etc. Education Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Math, Computer Science or related engineering fields from an accredited college or university.
