Recruiting and Training Manager

PRIMARY PURPOSE AND FUNCTION This position will manage the entire life cycle of talent for the company by recruiting the best candidates and by maintaining effective programs for retention, promotion, and succession. This includes working with managers to determine organizational needs and implementing creative techniques to find qualified candidates. This person will be responsible for developing a positive culture inside and outside the company through organizing training, employee events and marketing the company. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES Work with Human Resources and company managers to determine hiring needs and develop hiring plans. Develop pay and benefit structures by using market research and monitor on an ongoing basis. Work closely with management on all diversity initiatives to ensure fairness in hiring practices. Recruit and network using social media platforms, networking events, job fairs and cold calling. Attend job fairs and network with potential candidates. Build relationships with area schools and communities to promote the company. Work on local marketing efforts to attract employees including billboard, radio and web Conduct preliminary interviews with recruits to gauge interest, personality and salary expectations Provide feedback to management about details regarding applications Develop screening techniques to assess the skills, qualifications and experience of potential candidates Actively work toward building a diverse and qualified team to support the organization Work with managers to develop initial and ongoing training. Set up training events for departments and keep the company training calendar. Maintain training attendance records Organize employee celebrations for birthdays, work anniversaries and special events. Education: Bachelors degree in Human Resources, Communication, Marketing or Education Preferred Experience: Experience recruiting talent and networking Experience developing training or class syllabi Experience marketing and professional social media Other Qualifications and Requirements Self - Driven Organized Positive attitude Strong written, verbal and social communication skills PHYSICAL DEMANDS Standing and/or walking 30% Occasional lifting up to 40 lbs.
