We believe in our team and pride our employees on their individual contributions and team contributions knowing without them we won't be at our best to meet our customer's and venders' needs.Our company is currently searching for someone to join our operations team as Plant Manager in our Chicago Plant. This position will report to our Director of Operations with a focus on managing both current and future activities and projected growth. This role will require the selected candidate to be in facility Monday through Friday and as needed for emergency circumstances. Responsibilities: Provide enthusiastic leadership to develop strong morale and team-oriented environment Direct and drive all production operations Ensure that productivity is achieved at the lowest cost consistent with quality control Delegate authority to key supervisors in production, maintenance, and related operations Direct staffing, training and development strategies, and performance management Create and implement vision and operating strategy that measures achievement and execution of company objectives and goals Oversee quality control plan to ensure product produced meets our high standards Oversee safety protocols to reduce workplace hazards and injuries Prepare periodic reports showing production and labor efficiency May direct or advise on research and development of products The right person for this position will have the following qualifications: 5-10 years of management experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably in the plastics extrusion industry Strong leadership and conflict resolution skills Strong verbal and written communication skills Ability to multitask and meet competing priorities and deadlines Demonstrate strong teambuilding and mentorship capability Proficiency in computer systems; ERP preferred Familiarity and understanding of federal and state regulations pertaining to industry Flex-O-Glass prides ourselves on promoting diversity in our workplace and we encourage all qualified applicants to apply and join our team.
