Position involves general cleaning of a manufacturing facility, restrooms and office areas, emptying trash containers, monitoring and maintaining janitorial and vending supplies, and other related miscellaneous duties. Requires knowledge of commonly-used concepts, practices, and procedures related to general cleaning and health standards. Relies on instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job.This is a first shift position, weekdays Monday - FridayEssential Responsibilities:· Performs a wide variety of duties to clean and maintain the building, restrooms, and office areas. Sweep and damp mop assigned areas of building. Vacuum floor mats in assigned areas. Vacuum carpet in front office areas. Empty trash containers in assigned areas. Clean and service assigned restrooms. Dust/wash windows, dust window blinds, and dust individual offices in front office. Monitor janitorial supplies and turn in requisitions as needed. Clean microwave ovens and common areas in break room. Take mail to the post office; run other department supply errands as needed.Essential Skills Required:This position requires knowledge and experience in industrial cleaning in a manufacturing setting, the ability to work independently to perform assigned tasks, and the ability to be moving throughout the facility during the assigned shift.· Must be physically capable of performing assigned tasks· Ability to write and read written instructions, signs, etc at a high school level· Must be highly motivated and be able to work independently.
