Looking for an exciting and rewarding career in commercial construction? We are looking to hire Carpenter Foreman to join our Trades division in our Knoxville TN region. We are open to candidates without a High School Diploma/GED. Here at Christman, we offer performance-based raises, vacation, and have an excellent benefits package. Duties and requirements for this position include: Able to perform rough and finish carpentry. Experience in setting case and millwork. Experience in architectural doors and hardware. Must have hand bags and all necessary hand tools. Must be able to read blueprints and perform layout work. Must have experience leading a team of carpenters and general trades positions. Must be able to exert up to 100 pounds of force occasionally, 50 pounds frequently, and 20 pounds constantly to move objects. Must have reliable transportation. Travel throughout East Tennessee required on occasion. Work closely and cooperatively and cooperatively with the Project Manager, Assistant Project Manager and/or Project Engineer to ensure project goals are met. Required Education and Experience: Requires a minimum of five (5) years' carpentry experience. Work Environment: The work is completed outside at the construction site, renovating occupied facilities such as hospitals, labs, nursing homes, etc. The position is often exposed to sounds and loud noises, such as construction equipment. The job requires they wear protective equipment when on the construction site (Hardhats and safety glasses). Temperatures and conditions may vary depending on the weather and seasons. Expected Hours of Work: Full time, more than 40-hours a week. May work nights and weekends. On occasion, construction may continue around the clock to meet deadlines. Travel: Must have reliable transportation. Must be willing to travel 60 miles a day dependent on project location relative to where the employee lives.
