POSITION PROFILE Under general supervision from the Human Resources Director, performs a variety of duties; ranging from routine administrative work to specialized human resources tasks. Performs a variety of administrative and clerical duties as needed to assist in the day-to-day human resources programs and processes. GOALS · To ensure work performance, effective time management practices, and attention to detail. · To conduct research and assist the Human Resources Office professionally, confidentially, and efficiently. · To articulate and convey information accurately and appropriately to Board of Commission, Elected Officials, Department Heads, and employees. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS Assists Human Resources Director with comprehensive classification and compensation studies involving the analysis of positions including periodic audits. Responsible for employee leave management including: STDi, LTD, FMLA and military leave. Assists with and monitors unemployment insurance claim records. Assists with workers compensation claim management. Performs onboarding tasks for new employees as assigned. Assists with departmental special projects as requested. Responsible for the management of HR software platforms including keeping them current with new employees and terminating old employees. Assists in the County recruitment effort for all exempt and nonexempt personnel. Assists with employee relation activities. · Performs related duties as required to meet business needs .
