Senior Scientist/Project Manager - Environmental Permitting & ComplianceLocation: Houston, TX (Hybrid)Our client in Houston, TX is seeking an experienced Senior Scientist/Project Manager to join their Environmental Permitting & Compliance division. In this role, you'll collaborate closely with clients, ensuring successful project execution within specified timelines and budgets. Your ability to exceed expectations and provide tailored solutions will be crucial to our firm's success.Responsibilities:Collaboration and Solutions:Work closely with team members, actively listening to client needs, and developing customized solutions.Provide leadership to project teams, ensuring adherence to timelines and overcoming unforeseen challenges.Project Management:Monitor project performance, profitability, and schedules.Ensure the availability of necessary resources for project completion.Client Assistance:Assist clients in developing and maintaining compliance programs.Build strong relationships with clients, vendors, and partners through exceptional project delivery.Mentoring and Training:Mentor junior staff members.Technical Expertise:Execute technical work and support project deliverables on complex environmental compliance projects.Areas of focus include solid and hazardous waste management permitting and compliance, SPCC plan development, stormwater permitting, wastewater permitting, environmental compliance inspections, and environmental audits.Apply knowledge of environmental laws and standards.Expertise in environmental reporting (Annual Waste Summaries, EPCRA Tier II Reports, SARA Toxic Release Inventory Reports, Air Emissions Inventory Reports, Annual Compliance Reports, etc.).Qualifications:Bachelor's degree or higher in Environmental Science, Engineering, Geology, or a related field.10-20 years of direct environmental regulatory compliance experience.Demonstrated expertise in environmental permitting and regulatory compliance for industrial, energy, and commercial clients.Proven leadership skills, including mentoring junior staff.Strong commitment to business development and client base growth.
