About Our Opportunity As the Survey Technician 2(A)-(B), you will be responsible for supporting the survey program of the Regional Services Branch of the Department of Natural Resources and Renewables. Primary Accountabilities You will assist with the preparation and generation of detailed drawings, charts, graphs and plans and will interpret aerial photographs and survey data results in order to determine property lines and advise on boundary locations. You will also provide technical support and advice to assist senior Survey Technicians and/or professional Surveyors, supervise and review the field work of summer casual and student workers and provide technical oversight and training in field procedures and appropriate land survey techniques to ensure compliance with departmental standards. You will investigate, establish or re-establish and maintain boundary lines and operate survey instruments (including but not limited to electronic and peripheral equipment, global navigation satellite systems (GNSS) and/or conventional line of sight technology) to determine precise measurements.
