This is a fantastic opportunity for an Assistant Nursery Manager to join this unique Garden Centre to help with their ongoing development and success. I am looking for an Assistant Nursery Manager from a Garden Centre or retail environment. A horticulture qualification is not necessary; if you have managed Garden Centres or Premium retail businesses/departments, I would love to hear from you. You will work closely with your team and the rest of the management at the garden centre to strengthen the relation with their premium customers. It is important that you enjoy working in a hands-on, energetic, and people-focused environment.40 Hours contract. The ideal candidate for an Assistant Nursery Manager: Inspiring and clear leadership pulling upon past experience of leading a team. Good understanding of Health and Safety in a retail environment Understanding seasonal trends of the garden center Understanding the needs of the business Having a good understanding of our premium customer profile and competitors Ability to organize the introduction of new products. The ability to work supportively with the team motivating, coaching, and developing individuals formally and informally. Good general horticultural knowledge Full driving license. Well organized and able to handle pressure. Administration – must be computer literate and have a good working knowledge of Excel. Results driven.
