Arrears Specialist Croydon Permanent, Full Time (37.5 hpw) Salary circa £35,000 negotiable based on skills and experience, plus great benefits including Health cash plan Home, a place where you belong This is a great job opportunity for a Housing Manager to join Home Groups awesome housing team in London and the Southeast. As our Housing Manager, you’ll be the face-to-face customer support to our communities. This is the perfect job for you if you like variety and delivering excellent services to our customers and communities. It is an ideal job for someone who has been a generic housing manager and wants to make the change to become a specialist in arrears management. You’ll join our income and tenancy team, with a real focus on arrears case management and tenancy changes. You will be supported by the wider housing management team of other Housing Managers in the Income and Tenancy team, Neighbourhood Housing Managers, Financial Inclusion Partners and Community Housing Assistants. Through visibility, engagement with customers and proactivity on our estates, you’ll really get to get to know our communities. This will help us to improve our local neighbourhoods. Typical day as a Housing Manager You will work through rent arrears for our general needs, shared ownership and leasehold customers covering our homes in South London and decide on the necessary course of action. You’ll progress legal paperwork such as notices and prepare witness statements for rent arrear cases at court. You will review customer requests for assignments of tenancies, prepare succession paperwork and review Fixed Term Tenancies. You will work on specific campaigns to reduce arrears, such as targeted work with customers in a locality. You will work closely with the Financial Inclusion Partner, the Housing team and external partners to discuss rent accounts and to support customers with their tenancy.
