Finance Assistant - Income Sevenoaks, West Kent Full Time - Hybrid Temp – 6 Months We are seeking a professional and knowledgeable Finance Assistant to join a team based in Sevenoaks on a full time temporary basis for a contract of 3-6 months. This role offers Hybrid working with 2 days a week based in office and 3 days working from home. The Finance Assistant will process income transactions correctly and within agreed timescales and deadlines, as well as assistant the Finance Officer in their post. Requirements Previous experience within a similar role, 6 month minimum Highly numerate, literate and an excellent communicator Ability to assimilate, analyse and interpret complex information Ability to communicate clearly, both face to face and over the telephone Knowledge of Value added tax regulations Demonstrable experience of identifying potential problems and taking appropriate action Good welfare benefits knowledge Professional qualification in income collection or debt collection desirable Knowledge of IT processes, including Word and Excel Good communication and negotiation skills Role Expectations Ensure accurate processing of all rent transactions and charges, including the secure deposit of payments into the bank Support the Finance Officer – Income in managing sales ledger tasks promptly and accurately, including VAT calculations for HMRC submissions Aid the Finance Officer - Income in maintaining payment systems and communicating with residents and staff about collections Generate precise reports to backss arrears performance and share them with relevant teams.
