What is JetZero? Today’s aircraft contribute around 2.5% of global CO2 emissions, equivalent to the emissions of 200 million cars. This is only going to increase: Air travel is forecasted to double by 2050, while meaningful efficiency gains using current airplanes have hit a wall. JetZero is developing a blended wing aircraft. It uses 50% less fuel and can accommodate zero-emission hydrogen propulsion. JetZero is the inevitable solution to sustainable air travel. You will be responsible for designing, architecting and running simulations for testing of aircraft systems in the Test Labs. JetZero is a place for people who are ambitious, talented, and humble. This role is based in Long Beach, CA reporting to the Head of Labs. What You'll Do Contributes to planning, developing and coordinating of important engineering projects. Provides specialized technical assistance to team members. Uses advanced techniques and modified extension of theories to provide technical solutions to a wide range of difficult problems. Determines and develops own approach to solutions within schedule and cost objectives. Works under limited supervision; work should only be required. to be reviewed for accuracy and consistency with meeting overall objectives. Experience Bachelor's Degree required or equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential functions of the job.5 years in specific technical discipline or 10 years broad engineering experience in several technical disciplines with Bachelors.Experience credit considered for related advanced degrees limited to 2 years for Masters, 4 years for PhD in fields applicable to this job. Aircraft Avionics and/or Electronic Systems development and integration experience Experience with FAA (14 CFR Part 25) or EASA (CS-25) certification Development, integration, test, troubleshooting of electronic aircraft systems Functional testing and troubleshooting experience at aircraft or system integration lab Experience with requirements development, validation and verification tools Experience with managing supplier technical and deliverable tasks in an engineering environment Programming experience with Matlab/Simulink, C, C++, and other widely used programming languages.
