Job Details: Salary Range: GBP 37,601 : GBP 42,067per annum Work Location: The Long Barn, Fareham Hours per week:37Contract Type: Permanent Closing Date: 29 March 2024 Due to continued growth and functional development, an exciting opportunity has arisen to join the Estates and Facilities Management team at the Office of the Police and Crime Commissioner (OPCC) for Hampshire and Isle of Wight (IOW) for an Assistant Project Manager. The OPCC Estates team is responsible for over 130 properties which are provided for the use of Hampshire and IOW Constabulary. The estate has a broad mixture of properties and an even broader range of age and conditions which need to be managed. As part of the estates continued development to support the Police and Crime Commissioners Estates Strategy, the estate needs to be invested in and developed to keep up with the demands of Hampshire and IOW Constabulary. Projects will range in value typically from GBP 25k up to GBP 10m and will include works such as basic maintenance and remedial works, minor and major refurbishments, demolitions and new builds. The role will be to support Project Managers, Senior Project Managers and the Programme Delivery Manager with all tasks and governance during the project lifecycle and relating to the delivery of the programme and projects. In time the Assistant Project Manager will be given the opportunity to manage their own projects which will increase in scale and complexity as they develop within their role. With a passion for collaborative and partnership working and delivering successful outcomes, you will be confident in communication and engagement with staff and have previous experience in a project management support or coordination position within a relevant industry and hold, or be willing to undertake relevant recognised project management qualifications.
