Job Details Job Location : 621 W MADRONE - ROSEBURG, OR Position Type : Full-Time/Part-Time Education Level : 4 Year Degree Salary Range : $62,000.00 - $87,000.00 Salary Job Shift : Day Description Adapt Integrated Health Care is looking for a Compliance Specialist to join their team! The Compliance Specialist will report to the Chief of QI Compliance. This role will work with senior management to define scope of work, objectives, deliverables, and timeframe to achieve complaint processes at both a site and system level. This role will require service as an assertive yet graceful liaison in both verbal and written documentation with external and internal stakeholders in efforts towards compliant processes. They will provide consultation regarding high-risk areas and help develop options to address them. They will collaborate with local operational management to resolve any non-compliance and establish periodic monitoring/auditing to ensure completion of any corrective action plans. This role will need to understand the medical record documentation process and administrative/clinical standards environment. They will apply this knowledge towards identifying, referring, and problem-solving opportunities for standardization and improvement to increase compliance levels. The Compliance Specialist will operate in an effective manner that advances a culture of accountability towards compliance with policies and standards.The Compliance Specialist will serve as liaison with regulatory and external agencies working on compliance initiatives, as requested. They will represents Adapt in a professional manner and seeks to build positive working relationships with the healthcare community. The role will pursue and develop relationships with regulatory and accreditation officials to secure timely advice regarding challenging compliance areas and survey/investigation concerns. Primary Responsibilities: Leads Regulatory Compliance projects and tasks as directed by the Chief QI/Compliance Officer to ensure work progresses on schedule and to specified performance objectives. Provides consultation services to stakeholders regarding complex regulatory and accreditation challenges and strategizes to ensure ongoing clinical compliance and survey readiness. Prioritizes and analyzes diverse opinions regarding interpretation of laws, regulations, and standards to ensure proper implementation. Collaborates extensively with other departments, regulatory consultants, and regulatory authorities. Exercises excellent interpersonal skills and judgment in communicating with and involving relevant stakeholders in all aspects of work. Consistently delivers high-quality work within agreed-upon time frames. Provides training and guidance to junior team members as appropriate. Supports regulatory compliance efforts by participating on and/or reporting at management team meetings as requested by leadership. Facilitates discussion of compliance findings and the development of effective action plans that align with Adapt's strategic goals. Provides direct support to Adapt organizations during visits by regulators and surveyors. Support OHA licensure/certification reviews and accreditation surveys from application, site visit preparation, and facilitation on day of review Other duties as assigned. Qualifications Required Qualifications: Minimum Bachelor's degree in healthcare, business administration, accounting, finance, management information systems, or closely related fields of study that demonstrates knowledge and skills related to healthcare 5+ years' experience in applicable healthcare and or regulatory compliance Certified in Healthcare Compliance (CHC) or ability to obtain within 18 months of hire Preferred: Master's degree in business, public health, public policy, healthcare administration or other closely related field of study. Experience with Project Management Knowledge of Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities (CARF), Substance Abuse and Mental Health Administration (SAMHSA), Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA), and Oregon Health Authority OHA) regulations as they relate to operations.
