JOB: Mechanical Design Engineer LOCATION: Newcastle upon Tyne TERM: Permanent : 12 month fixed term SALARY: GBP 35,000 : GBP 40,000 per annum (plus benefits) My client manufactures a range of medical devices going into the a range of sectors. They are looking to expand their design team by taking on a Mechanical Design Engineer to work in their offices in Newcastle Upon Tyne. The Mechanical Design Engineerwill ideally have the following attributes: : Knowledge/ Experience of Mechanical Design : Engineering qualification (BEng, MEng, HND, HNC, BSc etc. ) in Mechanical Engineering : Excellent 3D CAD skills (Solidworks) : Be able to work well individually as well as part of a team : Have excellent communication skills (both verbal and written) : Experience of calculations software, eg Mathcad : technical understanding and experience in engineering design for life science : Knowledge of techniques for design for manufacture, assembly and maintenance If you are interested in this position, please apply with an up to date CV as soon as possible, along with your availability and your salary expectation.
