Job Description: 1st & 2nd Shift Digital Web Printing Press OperatorThe Digital Web Printing Press Operator is a skilled operator whose role is to ensure that customers’ printed products are produced correctly, efficiently and at the highest level of quality. Digital press operators are a key part of the manufacturing team, operating State of the Art Digital Web Presses and works closely with others to ensure that company standards and customer specifications are upheld.Responsibilities:Produces high quality print jobs as specified on order ticketCommunicates job specific information or changes to the pressroom supervisor in a timely manner to minimize production downtimeProduce jobs which match customer proofs and color standardsCorrectly inputs all job related data into Press GUIAlways keeps work area clean and organizedCorrectly completes routine operator level maintenancePerforms additional duties assigned by the Supervisor completely and without reservationLearns and follows all applicable SOPsStrictly adheres to all safety proceduresAbility to multitask in order to complete daily tasks and meet deadlinesUnderstands Four/Color Process Printing, able to adjust color to match standardSets work priorities based on the production scheduleRespects the equipmentProactive and takes initiative to meet or exceed expectationsUse computer systems, tools, and specialized software to set up/make ready the pressOperation of Press equipment to supplied specifications and instructions; logging and managing necessary raw materials. Retrieving and managing roll stock as needed.Maintaining production by planning and organizing jobsExamine job ticket to determine quantity to be printed, stock specifications, colors and special instructions.Examine printed copy for quality, density, correct registration and position.EOESalary: Starting at $20.00 and up per hourSchedule: 1st, 2nd, or 3rd shift availableMonday to Friday (8-hour shift)Experience: 2 years (Preferred) - Willing to work with candidates that are motivated to learn and is seeking long term employment.
