The ideal candidate will have 1-3 years' experience supporting IT systems, or related experience. We are willing to train the right candidate looking for a growth opportunity. The ability to patiently explain technical concepts to end users, business partners or others who may not have a background in that area is a must.The day-to-day responsibilities of this role include:* Taking ownership for the successful resolution of less complex system support tickets, inquiries, issues, and other IT related initiatives in accordance with SLA's.* Creating a positive and professional atmosphere where all team members can excel.* Assist in working closely with business partners, vendors, end-users and other stakeholders to: o understand business needs and provide system solutions where appropriateo create and administer operating standards for enterprise systems, o provide user interface training on IT systems; and o create detailed specifications for system enhancements and upgrades. * Complying with auditing standards and assist in audit reviews* Testing systems during upgrades and/or enhancements to ensure high quality outcomes.* Maintaining system artifacts through proper documentation and versioning.* Assist in providing project management for IT projects as assigned Principal Accountabilities: 60% System Support:* Proactively respond to less complex inquiries, issues, and other initiatives to meet or exceed SLA's.* Assist in communicating daily with internal IT units, vendors, and business partners to debug, build and test system fixes or enhancements. * Act as a contact and liaison for vendor support and business partners; * Comply with Risk & Issue Management best practices by assisting with:o analyzing and documenting risks and issues o providing recommendations to address o initiating and coordinating corrective actions; o communicating status to management, stakeholders; and others as requiredo updating documentation accordingly * Create and maintain instruction manuals as needed for Users.* Create and maintain Knowledge Base materials for efficient and effective trouble shooting.* Participate during functional, integration and/or UAT testing for system enhancements including:o Planningo Preparationo Executiono Documenting, ando Reporting of test cases* Assist in providing operating metrics information to inform on systems or trouble response performance.* Adhere to auditing standards and participate in all audits to ensure compliance * Support culture of Cyber Security* Create positive relationships with stakeholders through clear and effective communication, understanding of needs, and proactive follow through.25% Project Management:* Assist with project management and support services for cross-functional IT initiatives as assigned. * Create positive stakeholder relationships through clear and effective communication, understanding of needs, and proactive follow through.* Comply with project milestones and engage the right resources at the right time to proactively meet milestones and project deliverables.* Assist with the requirements gathering process and documentation of SMART (Specific, Measurable, Acceptable, Realistic, Timebound) requirements.* Adhere to Risk & Issue Management best practices* Assist with the coordination and execution of functional, integration and/or UAT testing as required* Assist with writing up reports for management to communicate project updates on a consistent basis.* Contribute to positive team dynamics through teamwork and camaraderie. 10% Business Process:* Become knowledgeable of current stakeholder operations and software systems to provide comprehensive support. * Serve as an Information Technology stakeholder consultant and provide interface between stakeholder and software developers. * Identify Lessons Learned and contribute to departmental, system and corporate-wide process improvements.5% Other duties as assigned. Qualifications: * Bachelor of Science in Computer Information Systems Science or an equivalent education background * 1-3 years' experience working in IT, systems support, IT projects or related experience preferred but not required.* Must be willing to work onsite a minimum of 1-2 days per week, or as needed.* Familiarity with ITIL processes preferred* Basic knowledge of personal computers and software including: system security, word processing, spreadsheet, database and business applications. * Familiar with project management principles and a track record of successful project involvement. * Proven skills working with non-technical individuals with ability to patiently and effectively communicate and present technical information.* Strong analytical skills and attention to detail. * Utility industry experience preferred. * Must demonstrate ethical and honest work habits, initiative, dedication and be able to respond well under stress. * Excellent written and verbal communication skills Personal Attributes Ÿ Positive, proactive, and passionate about life-long learning.Ÿ Ability to set and manage priorities judiciously.Ÿ Excellent interpersonal skills.Ÿ High ethical standards and personal integrity.
