Required Skills Minimum of 5 years experience in building, installing, configuring, supporting, troubleshooting, maintaining and implementing enterprise Cisco data networks including Cisco Nexusios-xe code experience within CiscoAt least 2 or more years with heavy emphasis on WAN routing and switchingPolished, professional in terms of presentation and communication styleShould understand firewall best practices and concepts and have experience Cisco ASA and Palo Alto firewallsExperience working in an environment with at least 150 network devices or moreExperience with a network monitoring tool such as Solar WindsExperience managing, supporting and troubleshooting MPLS frameworkDHCP, DNSExperience working with WAN carriers such as AT&T or Verizon and a solid understanding of how to escalate issues within those carriersExperience creating network solutions/designs that solve problems or that would be related to projectsMust have strong leadership skills and flexibility when handling changeAbility to work in a fast paced, complex environmentDemonstrated knowledge of network technologies and trendsAbility to work within and across large, enterprise teamsExcellent written and verbal skillsStrong expertise with networking protocols such as EIGRP and BGP Desired Skills: Strongly desire someone who has strong Cisco wireless and ISE networking skillsAny of the following certifications are a plus: Cisco CCNP,CCNA Security, CCDE, CCIEScripting skills including Python is a plus but not requiredExperience working in a heavy regulated environment4 year college degree a plus Description of Role/Responsibilities: This Network Engineer role is with an enterprise organization that offers the chance to a highly skilled IT network engineer professional that can practically apply both business and technical insights into building, supporting and maintaining a very large and complex WAN as well as determine overall network health, compare with industry standards, and establish operating thresholds, alert and countermeasure when thresholds are exceeded. This role will have a heavy focus on day-to-day support, maintenance, troubleshooting WAN issues. This person should have expertise with Cisco Data Networks including Nexus and ideally experience supporting Palo Alto and Cisco ASA firewalls. It is a fast paced, complex, enterprise environment so it offers someone a chance to be challenged but to also work with outstanding people. This role will be very critical as this company has a lot of transformative work happening including and not limited to divestitures, acquisitions, etc and so anyone with experience in that area as a Network Engineer is also helpful.
