Mechanical Maintenance Engineer - Day Shift Location: Chesterfield Salary: £46,000 per annum + Bonus + Overtime Benefits: Generous annual leave entitlement Monthly performance bonus Pension We are recruiting for a skilled Mechanical Maintenance Engineer for a successful manufacturing business in Chesterfield. As a Mechanical Maintenance Engineer, you will be responsible for planned and reactive maintenance activities at a busy manufacturing plant. Key Responsibilities: Conduct mechanical maintenance, service, and repair of automated plant equipment. Perform hydraulic and pneumatic fault finding and repairs. Undertake cooling plant maintenance. Utilise tool room equipment for machining new or replacement parts. Basic welding and fabrication tasks. Candidate Requirements: Experience: Trained mechanical maintenance engineer with a background in heavy industry manufacturing e. g. waste & recycling, steel, quarry & aggregates, mining, or foundry sectors. Experience in maintenance within a manufacturing environment. Minimum NVQ3 or time served in mechanical engineering. Ability to read and interpret mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic drawings.
