At Inter Continental Edinburgh The George and Kimpton Charlotte Square, we have an exciting opening to join our on-site cluster team as an Account Director (MICE – UK)… We are looking for someone who can commit to Full-Time (main office base in Edinburgh, with hybrid working options available). Your shifts will typically be Monday to Friday however due to the nature of the role, you may sometimes be required to work evenings or weekends (representing our hotels at local, regional and national trade shows on an ad hoc basis). We are paying up to £46,000.00 per annum as a base salary, plus opportunity to earn 20% of your salary through our sales bonus based on KPI outcomes. As an Account Director (MICE – UK), your main duties and responsibilities will be: Driving proactive sales across the Meetings, Incentives, Conferences and Exhibitions (UK) space – both generating new business and developing existing business, all whilst maximising revenue. Working independently to manage established relationships and using social media amongst other avenues to negotiate in line with Hotel KPIs. Staying up to date with market information and trends, acknowledging trends before the occur and working closely with the Director of Sales to adjust your approach accordingly. Attending trade shows on an as-needed basis, travelling across the UK. You will also be required to complete a quarterly sales mission so the ability to travel is essential for this role. Working with the wider Hotel team to consolidate board sales packs and monthly commercial reviews, creating pride in the sales team to deliver consistent excellent guest experiences. Developing our sales team to create an environment using best practice, continuously improvement of processes and supporting to train our team where needed (working with our Director of Sales to ensure that we are producing maximum outcomes for the Hotels).
