Grounds Maintenance Operative Job Type: Full Time, Permanent Location: Depot base is at Stradbroke Salary: £24,000 - £30,000 per annum Depending on Experience Benefits Company Pension Encompass Environmental provide complete Vegetation Control, Invasive Weed Control, and Arborist Services to the Rail Industry, Ports, Local Authorities and private clients throughout the United Kingdom. We are looking for Grounds Maintenance Operatives to join our team The Role – Grounds Maintenance Operative: Ensuring all tasks are carried out in a professional and effective manner. Experienced in all aspects of grounds maintenance/landscaping. Operate machinery. Grass cutting/Strimming/Hedge trimming/Fencing/Turfing. Be Health & Safety aware, ensuring PPE is worn at all times and that procedures are followed carefully. Tree surgery, maintenance, planting. Grounds maintenance and landscaping tasks, including turfing, digging, planting, seeding and conservation. Cleaning and maintaining equipment. Person Specification – Grounds Maintenance Operative: Qualifications preferred but not essential as training will be given to the right candidate: NPTC PA1/PA6 Safe Use of Pesticides / Herbicide Application. NPTC Unit 201/202 Chainsaw maintenance, Cross-cutting and felling NPTC Unit 203 Tree Climbing and Aerial Rescue NPTC 201 1A Brushcutter and Trimmer Personal Track Safety - Training will be provided at a Network Rail Approved Training Centre.
