Industry Leader - We are Silgan.We are proud to be anessential part of the world's food supply chainand are looking for team members who will take this job as seriously as we do!Now hiring a Molding Tech-Injection Molding & a Molding Tech-Compression Molding in our Athens, GA facility - Apply Now!What we offer: * 12-hour shifts 6:45am - 7:00pm or 6:45pm - 7:00am its a 2-2-3 schedule - you would only work 14 days out of the month which gives days during the week for personal business and appointments * Your schedule: Week 1: work Mon - Tue, off Wed - Thurs, work Fri- Sat- Sun ~ Week 2: off Mon - Tue, work Wed - Thurs, off Fri - Sat - Sun * Paid weekly * Paid lunches and breaks * Benefits package: Medical, dental, vision (after 60 days), 401k w/match, paid time off, paid holidays start on first day * Steel shoe reimbursement ($150) on hire. You can also get them when the Vulcan Shoes truck is onsite twice a year (you would be responsible for anything over $150) * Uniforms are provided at no cost to you * We promote from withinWhat you'll do: * Preventative maintenance of assigned equipment to procedures and work instructions * Communicate with supervisors, quality assurance technicians, packers, molders, PMV operators and all others associated with production related functions to ensure efficient operation of either injection or compression molding process * Familiar with and proficient in all injection or compression molding work instructions and associated forms and documents * Ensure closures are produced that meet quality requirements on assigned equipment * Demonstrate the ability daily to resolve various quality or production issues through effective changed to the molding process * Monitor cavitation and resolve issues without reducing overall equipment effectiveness * Meet plant efficiency and scrap goals using a methodical approach to production and quality * Demonstrate the ability to perform relevant mechanical and calibration tasks as requiredYou'll love it here if you: * Like to work the molding or compression process * Like to keep the molding and compression machines working * Like to work in and maintain a safe work environment * Like the use of hand tools, power tools and intricate measuring devicesWhat you'll need to have: * Highschool diploma or equivalent * Three (3) years related experience in a manufacturing /maintenance environment * Good communications skills * Knowledge of shop math (Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.) * Computer KnowledgeWho we are: * Global Fortune 500 packaging company with 109 manufacturing facilities in North and South America, Europe, and Asia * A leading supplier of sustainable metal and plastic packaging solutions for consumer goods products for food, beverage, health care, garden, home, personal care, and beauty products * A stable, reliable, and environmentally conscious companyLIMITATIONS AND DISCLAIMERThe above job description is meant to describe the general nature and level of work being performed; it is not intended to be construed as an exhaustive list of all responsibilities, duties and skills required for the position.All job requirements are subject to possible modification to reasonably accommodate individuals with disabilities.
