Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) System Float for a nursing job in New York, New York. Job Description & Requirements Specialty: System Float Discipline: RN Duration: Ongoing 36 hours per week Shift: 12 hours, nights Employment Type: Staff Registered Nurse - Float Team (Inpatient Acute Care) Are you an experienced Clinical Nurse and ready to be a part of a team that is changing the way the world treats cancer? We are: Providers of compassionate, evidence-based nursing care to Oncology patients and families living with cancer in a healing and innovative environment. You Will: Our newly established Nursing Float Pool is aimed at promoting professional nursing practice at MSK while utilizing our teams' flexibility and experience to support both patients and staff. The Float Pool provides an opportunity for nurses to gain exposure to a broader scope of patient care while working throughout our highly specialized inpatient environment such as hematology services, neuro/ortho, leukemia/lymphoma, BMT, and more acute/critical care areas. You are: Committed and eager to embrace new opportunities and tough challenges with a sense of urgency, high energy, and enthusiasm. Capable of building strong customer relationships and delivering customer-centric solutions. Actively seeking new ways to grow and be challenged, using both formal and informal development Approachable and comfortable with diverse groups of people and able to make others comfortable with you. Build partnerships and work collaboratively with others to meet shared objectives. You Need: BSN or actively matriculating in a BSN Program Current New York State RN License/Registration A minimum of 1.5 years of Clinical RN experience in an acute care setting; Telemetry and/or Critical care experience a plus.
