Fosters an environment in which they will reportanyviolations or reasonably suspected violation of CNI policy, FAR, and/or CFR and are comfortable discussing the myriad compliance, conflict, FAR, CFR, etc. issues that arise during the performance of a government contract.Develops content for major initiatives such as the following: monthly cybersecurity awareness newsletters, Cybersecurity Awareness Month products, the Information System Security Awareness cybersecurity training modules, and other initiatives as they arise.Creates and maintains accessible documents that comply with Section 508 of the Rehabilitation Act (29 U.S.C. 794d).Trains and supports training on Section 508.Regularly reviews, edits, and proofs documents. Converts document into standard template formats ready for delivery to the customer.Develops, reviews, and edits complex written and graphical technical materials, including system configurations, interface control documents, system workflow diagrams, drawings, white papers, studies, and other materials.Interviews and collaborates with subject matter experts to obtain complex information and translates that information into easily understood, structured, and polished documents.Ensures compliance with industry standards and best practices of style and format. Excellent usage of the English language and overall structure and organization of material to create professional documentation.Works in a team environment and assists other team members as needed.Maintains an online knowledge base library.Adheres to established qualitative and quantitative standards to meet contractual obligations and changing business requirements.Plans daily activities within the guidelines of company policy, job description and supervisor's instruction in such a way as to maximize personal output.EDUCATION / EXPERIENCEBachelor's degree in English, Journalism, or Communications from a four-year college or university. Minimum of two years' related experience in Information Security and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONMust be able to obtain government security clearance (public trust)STC Certified Professional Technical Communicator (CPTC) Certification or other industry relevant certification preferred.JOB SPECIFIC KNOWLEDGE / SKILLS / ABILITIESAdvanced written and oral communications skills.Professional experience in preparation of reports, presentations, summaries, and analyses.Strong interpersonal skills applied to interactions with all levels of authority.Requires a working knowledge of the following software packages:MS Office, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint; SharePoint; Visio; MS Project.Recommends a working knowledge of the following software packages:PowToon; ServiceNow; SplunkMATHEMATICAL SKILLSAbility to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.REASONING ABILITYAbility to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.LANGUAGE SKILLSAbility to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.PHYSICAL DEMANDSThe physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
