Position Overview Does building relationships come naturally to you and do you know how to forge meaningful and prosperous relationships with communities and organizations? Do you use negotiation and problem-solving skills to find common solutions through transparent and honest conversations? If so, we want to hear from you! Join us as the Community Relations Manager and you’ll be part of the Community and Indigenous Relations team supporting the Eagle Mountain-Woodfibre Gas Pipeline (EGP) Project. This project involves adding 50 kilometres of new gas pipeline between Coquitlam and Squamish. We anticipate construction for the project will begin in late August with initial construction activities beginning in Squamish. As a Community Relations Manager, you’ll lead the strategic engagement with local governments, stakeholders, and community associations, to support building strong relationships and executing on Fortis BC’s vision to partner for progress. In this role, you will: Build relationships with elected officials, municipal staff, and business organizations through proactive engagement and timely resolution of issues. Lead the development and implementation of comprehensive engagement plans and tactics to support the project and interests of local communities.
