BWXT Medical Ltd. is part of the BWXT nuclear power segment (NPG) of BWX Technologies, Inc. BWXT Medical Ltd is seeking an Accountant ( Financial Analyst). This position can be located in either Vancouver, British Columbia or Ottawa, Ontario. Note: This position is remote with the successful candidate being located in either the Greater Vancouver or Greater Ottawa area as daily site visits will be required on occasion. Position Summary: This position reports to the Head of Finance, BWXT Medical Ltd. and ensures that financial statements are accurate and in compliance with generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) and is involved in forecasting the company's financial performance. Accountabilities: Primary Finance support for Manufacturing and Engineering, and related management teams, including product cost analysis, inventory review, cost centre spending, and key performance metric reporting. Support the Engineering teams by coordinating the monitoring, reporting and analysis of major project spending and provide cost centre support for Forecasting, Planning and current view projections. Support of the Medical Isotope business in the following areas: Current year revenue projections including advising on issues potentially affecting meeting performance targets; Major cost drivers; Provide cost centre support for forecasting, planning and current view projections; Business case preparation and analysis. Contributing to the month-end, quarter-end and year-end financial reporting process, including journal entries, performance analysis and other routine transactions...
