Rooted in 40 years of experience, Livius Prep is looking for people who are creative, innovative, unique, and most importantly can build genuine relationships with students. The students are ZOOMed out, but motivated and goal-oriented. We're actively hiring instructors who are willing to work in the schools during the school day. This is a great opportunity for an experienced teacher who may only want to work part-time, or an entry-level instructor looking for more in-school exposure. What we ask of you: Maintain an accurate calendar and be available at least 10 hours a week, in the Boston area, during the school day. Conduct formal and informal assessments to track student progress to ensure mastery-based learning. Provide positive and constructive feedback to set short term and long term academic goals through detailed notes after each session. Offer feedback on progress to students' parents and teachers where appropriate Engage with the team, and communicate openly and regularly with those who support you. Are you the right fit? You are computer literate and have excellent communication skills. You are reliable and punctual and live within a reasonable commute to Boston. You know how to connect with your students. You want to be a part of an exciting company as it grows. You have a passion for inspiring students to reach their full potential. You have at least one year of teaching and/or tutoring experience. You are eligible to work in the U.S. and can successfully complete a federal I-9 form and a national background check.
