(Former employees eligible after 3 months of separation) Position Summary The Audiologist provides clinical audiology services at Waldo County General Hospital, including audiometric evaluation of hearing disorders, assessment of balance disorders and aural rehabilitation including dispensing of hearing aids and other assistive listening devices. Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs) Education: Graduate degree in Audiology required. License/Certifications: Ability to hold a valid State of Maine License in Audiology. Experience: Clinical experience that includes; clients of all ages, Hearing Aid dispensing/evaluation, Desire to serve combined pediatric and adult population. Demonstrated strong interpersonal and communication skills. Computer literate including the internet and Word Processing. Eligible candidates are hired (offer accepted) into a Full or Part time position. Bonus amount prorated for Part time hires, per diem hires are ineligible. Current MaineHealth member employees are ineligible; former MaineHealth Members are ineligible until greater than 6 months separation from employment. Located on the picturesque Maine coastline, Waldo County General Hospital is seeking an Audiologist to join its team. Work within a regional healthcare system with a large primary care referral network to help serve the coastal Maine communities. Work within a practice that is team oriented and works collaboratively with our ENT and Speech Departments caring for the patients of coastal Maine. Waldo County General Hospital: A member of the MaineHealth system, Waldo County General Hospital (WCGH) is a 25 bed critical access full-service community hospital located directly on beautiful Penobscot Bay in Belfast, Maine. We offer inpatient and outpatient care to the coastal communities of Maine with Hospitalist Services, diagnostic, therapeutic and rehabilitative services, patient and community education, and a full-range of specialty services through the Emergency Department, and the Surgical Services Department. Our medical staff also serves our rural communities as well with four rural health centers, which increases access to primary care in our area.
