A fantastic opportunity is now available for a highly experienced Clinical Pharmacist to join a leading Birmingham hospital as Principal Pharmacist for Clinical Research and Development. As Principal Pharmacist for R&D you will lead the team in realising, and oversee the development strategy for, the hospital’s shop research programme. In doing so, you will lead high-quality clinical trials that operate in the best interest of each patient, meet all regulatory and statutory requirements, and contribute to safer, more effective healthcare. To thrive in this role, you’ll have experience working within a busy hospital environment at a level equivalent to NHS Band 8a, in a relevant clinical area e. g. Clinical Trials, Oncology & Haematology. This is ideally a permanent, full-time role 37.5h, however part-time / job share options may also be considered for the right candidate. Person specification: Essential GPh C-accredited MPharm degree or equivalent Essential Valid GPh C registration Essential PGDip or MSc qualification in Clinical shop Essential Relevant hospital-based clinical shop experience Essential Relevant clinical leadership and risk management experience Benefits / enhancements include: Minimum of 27 days’ annual leave + 8 bank holidays, increasing with length of service Generous sick pay scheme – up to max. 6 months’.
