JOB FAIR - Hiring Drivers Location : 437 Prince St Truro, B2N 1E6 (Inn on Prince Hotel & Conference Centre Truro) Date & time : May 10th, 2024, from 10AM - 4PM We offer: Weekly living allowance Hourly wages + Overtime pay Travel coverage (one round trip) Paid accommodation Get experience driving in Greater Toronto Area Onsite paid training Receive the offer letter for next winter in advance Friendly and supporting staff Position Summary The incumbent is responsible for maintaining contracted assets (roadways, medians, signs, guardrails, fences, bridges, tunnels, vegetation, etc. ) through operation/use of heavy equipment, particularly during seasonal needs (i. e. snow plow operations), and any other needs per the contract requirements. This position requires a highly developed sense of safety awareness and perceptive ability. You must have the ability to recognize hazards inherent in routine and non-routine tasks and make adjustments to avoid loss, injury or accident. You must be able to communicate with co-workers safety instructions. You must be able to think clearly and focus on your safety in your immediate surroundings, while using tools and equipment, while driving or operating equipment. You will be required to wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) appropriate to your job. We are seeking Snow Plow / Seasonal Equipment Operators for the seasonal time period of October - thru - April. We offer competitive pay and other seasonal benefits Please note a minimum of a class 1 or class 3 driving license is required for this job!
