About Our Opportunity As a leader in evidence-based policy development and an expert in government corporate processes you will support the creation of health and social policy options that align with the strategic direction of the Department of Health and Wellness (DHW), the Office of Addictions and Mental Health (OAMH) and the Government of Nova Scotia. You will ensure recommendations being made to Departmental senior leadership, Executive Council Office and Treasury Board staff are based on substantive analysis and best practice while promoting and supporting the development of effective health system policy and processes. You will also manage a dynamic team that corporately supports the Department’s goals and direction as well as oversee all internal processes that facilitate the team’s work. The primary focus of this role is the development of policy, legislation, regulations and the development and oversight of accompanying project management tools, decision documents and approval.
