Description:
A company seeks an experienced leader for the Vice President of Market Access role. Reporting to the Chief Commercial Officer, responsibilities include optimizing market access, payer relationships, pricing, reimbursement, and patient support for novel cardiopulmonary therapies. Ideal candidates will have a strong background in managed markets, market access, and marketing in pharmaceuticals or biopharmaceuticals, along with leadership and collaboration skills. Responsibilities * Develop and execute strategies for product access and affordability aligned with the commercial plan. Work closely with the launch team and partners for seamless integration. * Lead talks with payers, government entities, and benefit managers for coverage and favorable terms. Foster payer relationships to meet market access goals. * Create pricing strategies and agreements for competitiveness and revenue growth. Stay informed on market trends for pricing decisions. * Establish programs for quick coverage, reimbursement, and financial aid for patients. * Provide training on reimbursement policies to internal teams. * Utilize data analytics to gather payer insights and guide market access strategies. * Collaborate with teams for business goals across various departments. * Ensure all activities comply with regulations and ethical standards, working closely with legal and compliance teams. Required Skills Bachelor's degree in business, healthcare administration, life sciences, or related field required (advanced degree preferred). Minimum 10 years of progressive commercial experience in pharmaceuticals. Strong knowledge of healthcare reimbursement, payer dynamics, formulary management, and pricing strategies. Proven success in securing favorable coverage, formulary placement, and reimbursement. Excellent negotiation, communication, and leadership skills. Strategic thinker with expertise in healthcare compliance, market trends, and health policy.
