POSITION DETAILS Position Type : Full-time Reporting Location : In-person (Carlsbad, CA) Schedule : 8am-5pm PST, Mon-Fri Salary : $50,000/year Reports to : Senior Human Resources Manager Start Date : May 6-June 1 OVERVIEW Verdani Partners is seeking a full-time Human Resources Coordinator to provide support to the HR team in maintaining employee records, preparing for new employees, and offering general administrative assistance. The HR coordinator should possess outstanding written, verbal, and interpersonal skills, excellent organizational abilities, and effective time management skills. Additionally, they should demonstrate strong problem-solving abilities and resourcefulness. Our ideal candidate will enjoy collaborating with a diverse range of individuals and prioritize meeting employee needs. This position requires reporting in-person at Verdani’s office in Carlsbad, CA. RESPONSIBILITIES Primary: Prepare for new employees and support HR team with first day orientation Respond to internal and external HR related inquiries or requests Maintain both hard and digital copies of employees’ records Assist with performance management procedures Support the management of HR tools (HRIS, PM tool, LMS, ATS, etc.) Contribute to the development of HR SOPs Manage communication and tracking for harassment prevention trainings, mentor program, etc. Support HR team with employee offboarding tasks Support HR team with DEI initiatives Secondary: Redirect HR related calls or mail to the appropriate personnel Support with ad-hoc HR projects Schedule meetings as needed Assist with the recruitment process as needed Help with state and federal law compliance PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS We recognize that the job requirements may vary, and that not every candidate may possess all the required or preferred experience. Required : Ability to handle data with confidentiality Strong communication skills, both oral and written Good organizational and time management skills Strong decision-making and problem-solving skills Ability to collaborate with a team Willing to take initiative and work independently when needed Reliable, positive and personable demeanor Preferred : Some education or bachelor's degree in business administration, human resources or related field Exposure to labor law Experience using HR software (HRIS databases, applicant tracking systems, PM tools, etc.) PLATFORMS & SOFTWARE Preferred: Microsoft Office 365 applications such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, or their equivalents Collaboration platforms like Microsoft Teams, Slack or comparable tools Project management solutions such as Monday.com, ClickUp, or similar alternatives Human resources information systems (HRIS) like TriNet, Zenefits, ADP, Workday, or their counterparts WORKING CONDITIONS AND PHYSICAL DEMANDS During the execution of job responsibilities, the employee should expect the following conditions and demands associated with the role: Remaining in a stationary position for prolonged periods of time at a desk and working on a computer Repetitive motions involving the wrists, hands, and/or fingers Occasional light to moderate lifting, bending, stooping, kneeling, or crouching may be necessary Close vision requirements due to computer work Adequate hearing for effective communication in-person and/or on the telephone Ability to move objects weighting up to 10 pounds occasionally The job is performed indoors in a traditional office setting where moderate noise levels may be present.
