The ideal candidate will have the following responsibilities, requirements, and qualifications:Job Overview:As a Personal Injury Attorney, you will be responsible for representing clients in personal injury cases, conducting legal research, drafting legal documents, and advocating for clients in negotiations, mediations, and trials.Duties:Communicate effectively with clients, opposing counsel, and third parties.Take and defend depositions.Conduct legal research and draft legal memoranda, motions, and pleadings.Lead mediations and negotiate settlements.Develop case strategies and provide legal advice to clients.Represent clients in court proceedings, including trials.Requirements:Minimum of 2+ years of experience practicing personal injury or civil litigation.Licensed and in good standing with the Illinois State Bar.Experience drafting and responding to motions.Substantial knowledge of Rules of Civil Procedure and Rules of Evidence.Education and Certifications:Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.Admission to the Illinois State Bar.Skills:Excellent written and verbal communication skills.Strong analytical and critical thinking abilities.Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.Strong negotiation and advocacy skills.Attention to detail and organizational skills.Additional Information:Location: Chicago, ILBenefits: The firm offers benefits, including contingency fee referral opportunities, ongoing training and mentoring from an experienced team nationwide, and an office and legal staff to support your practice.
