Overview The mission of NorthPoint Health & Wellness Center (NorthPoint) is to create a healthier community. Three pillars provide the foundation for serving the North Minneapolis community: Whole-Person Integrated Care, Building Community Well-Being, and Health Equity. Whole-Person Integrated Care NorthPoint offers a continuum of social and health services that integrate medical, dental, and behavioral health with human services to improve quality of life. We strive to serve our community by addressing the physical, behavioral, social, and spiritual aspects of health in culturally responsive and trauma-informed ways. Building Community Well-Being A community's sense of well-being includes social, economic, environmental, cultural, and political conditions identified by the members of a community as essential for them to "flourish and fulfill their potential." To build and nurture community well-being, we must understand the population we serve to improve their health, safety, and access to the services they need. Position: The West Broadway Coordinator will be responsible for the overall management and implementation of initiatives, activities, and projects in support of collaborative work within the West Broadway corridor. This position carries a considerable amount of responsibility for planning, implementing, and evaluating activities associated with the West Broadway corridor, that include supporting the West Broadway Livability Coalition, NorthPoint Health & Wellness Center's activities at 800 West Broadway and supervising a core of volunteers. The Coordinator will also be responsible to leverage and nurture relationships with other coalition partners, state and local officials, community organizations and community members that support the needs of the West Broadway corridor. Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree in Public Health, Counseling, Social Work, Psychology, Sociology, Education, or related field, and three (3) years of community organizing, project management and/or leadership experience; or Associates Degree in Public Health, Counseling, Social Work, Psychology, Sociology, Education, or related field and five (5) years of community organizing, project management and or leadership experience; or a High School Diploma or GED, and seven (7) years of community organizing, project management and/or leadership experience. Familiarity with the geographic area and neighborhood with the ability to effectively communicate and partner with the community. Proven track-record in staff/volunteer supervision that supports the achievement of operational and programmatic excellence. Demonstrated expertise in creating and executing successful program design, implementation, and meeting outcome metrics. Ability to foster relationships established in collaboration, cross-functional engagement, connection with the community, teamwork, and building shared understanding or consensus. Exceptional verbal and written communication skills in a multi-cultural environment and within multiple stakeholder groups. Must have a valid Minnesota driver's license, current vehicle insurance, and ability to meet NorthPoint's driving standards. Flexibility to travel and work some evenings or weekends, as necessary. This position requires passing a State of Minnesota criminal background check.
