The team works on shaping the future of Pixel devices and services through some of the most advanced designs, techniques, products, and experiences in consumer electronics. This includes bringing together the best of Google's artificial intelligence, software, and hardware to build global smartphones and create transformative experiences for users across the world.The US base salary range for this full-time position is $142,000-$211,000 bonus equity benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Minimum qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Microwave Engineering, Computer Engineering, a related field, or equivalent practical experience. 4 years of experience with RF hardware design in mobile phones (e.g., LTE or 5G NR technology), or 3 years of experience with advanced degree. Experience with RF board-level design, bring-up, and troubleshooting. Experience with RF software tools (e.g., ADS, HFSS, etc.). Preferred qualifications: Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field. 10 years of experience in RF system and board level design, as well as board-level and firmware debug. Experience with cellular 4G/5G RF design. Experience with test automation using languages like Python or LabView. Experience using RF equipment (e.g., spectrum analyzers, network analyzers, vector signal generators, power meters or communication test boxes). Knowledge of different wireless communication systems (e.g., 5G NR, LTE, GSM, WCDMA, etc.). Responsibilities Architect, design, and perform validation for Pixel mobile devices radio architecture and platform, covering radio technologies (e.g., 5G NR, LTE, 2G, and 3G). Drive and work with component vendors and partners to architect, and design RF front-end modules, filters, and critical components. Manage Printed Circuit Board (PCB) design for optimal RF performance. Deliver a productized architecture and platform for Pixel mobile devices.
