OUR VALUES: We do what is rightWe serve others and help them succeedWe believe in hard work and a commitment to familyWe treat others with dignity and respect JOB SUMMARY: The Accounting Specialist position will provide accounting support to the company’s financial accounting areas, with a focus on accounts receivable. The support will include processing and recording transactions, preparing reports, fielding communication with customers (internal and external) and vendors, fact checking, and document organization. This position will also assist the accounts payable team as needed. This job description is not meant to be all inclusive and duties may vary based on departmental and company needs. KEY WORK DUTIES AND REQUIRED SKILLS: Perform daily cash management duties, including the recording of bank deposits, updating and distribution of cash receipt logs, and posting of cash to the accounts receivable sub-ledger. Organize customer purchase orders for invoicing, invoice creation and disbursement. Communicating with internal and external customers to request timely payment, answer invoice questions, and dispute resolution. Maintain accounts receivable records to ensure aging is up to date, credits and collections are applied, uncollectible amounts are accounted for, and miscellaneous differences are cleared. Preparation and compilation of reports and summaries, including balance sheet schedule support. Assisting with audits, fact checks, and resolving discrepancies. Assist with accounts payable processes as needed. Provide support to the broader accounting and finance team. Exercise integrity and confidentiality with financial data and reporting. Assist in streamlining the accounts receivable process by identifying areas for performance improvement. In collaboration with your supervisor, you will develop a unique professional development plan to ensure that you are pursuing and fulfilling your professional and personal goals in a diligent and thoughtful manner. JOB REQUIREMENTS: Education : Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance preferred. Experience: 2+ years of experience preferred. Competencies : Proficient computer skills required, including strong Excel experience; Familiarity with basic accounting (GAAP) principles; Professional manner and strong ethics; Organizational skills, attention to detail & active participation; Exceptional time management and verbal and written communication skills; Ability to multitask and remain motivated and positive, Commitment to working efficiently and accurately. General: Satisfactorily complete introductory period per company policy. Physical: This position will require some light lifting, carrying, pushing, and/or pulling; and significant fine finger dexterity and ability to read from paper documents and computers for extended lengths of time. Working Hours : Working hours for this position will follow Ralco’s official office hours, Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM.
