Association’s Mission: California Primary Care Association's mission is to lead and position community clinics, health centers and networks through advocacy, education, and services as key players in the health care delivery system to improve the health status of their communities. Purpose of Position: Perform general accounting functions; general ledger maintenance, accounts receivable management, assist with year-end-audit preparation and ad hoc projects as assigned. Primary Responsibilities: Accounts receivable management. Generate and process accounts receivable invoices as needed for membership dues, registration fees, clinic operations invoicing, and miscellaneous A/R billing. Collaborate with staff/strategic partners to ensure accurate billing. Respond promptly and professionally to customer billing questions. Monitor delinquent accounts and initiate collection efforts. Ensure remittance received via check, ACH, and wire and properly applied to customer accounts and prepare weekly bank deposits. Reconcile bank accounts. Reconcile and analyze accounts to general ledger. Maintain Association Management System software: event/product coding, batch posting/sync, transaction corrections. Prepare quarterly membership revenue analysis for board meetings. Assist in month-end close and year-end audit preparations. Interact with external auditors in completing audits. Build and maintain positive relations with customers and staff. Skills and Abilities Required: Solid time management, problem solving and organizational skills. Highly organized, detail-oriented, ability to multi-task and prioritize workload. Strong interpersonal and professional ability when engaging with customers, partners, and staff. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office and web-based software and applications. Manage multiple projects, plans strategically, and adapt to frequent change in a fast-paced environment. Maintain a helpful attitude and collaborate with multi-departmental teams. Additional Responsibilities: Support the Association’s Strategic Plan deliverables. Respond promptly and thoroughly to member inquires. Supports the Association’s vision of being an antiracist organization by utilizing JEDI (Justice, Equity, Diversity, Inclusion) practices in work and relationships. High levels of interaction with association members, vendors, and strategic partners. Travel for national and regional meetings, trainings, and site visits by air and ground transportation, as required. Report regularly to supervisor. Other duties as assigned. Education and Experience: Knowledge of accounting, budgeting, and cost control principles including Generally Accepted Accounting Principles. Knowledge of financial and accounting software applications. Ability to analyze financial data and prepare reports, statements, and projections. This is normally acquired through a combination of the completion of a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting with at least two years of accounting experience. Association Expectation: Due to network security this position requires the employee to have a cell phone with a data plan and home internet service, both are reimbursed at a set rate each month. All hires are required to maintain residence in California. This is a hybrid position with employees coming into the office. Compensation: $69,613- $77,803 Total Rewards: CPCA offers a comprehensive total rewards package that includes hybrid work schedule, employer paid medical, dental, vision, life, and AD&D insurance for employees.
