Job Description Corporate office (West End Area)POSITION SUMMARY: * Assistwith hires, trains, supervises, reviews the work of, and supports Staff andSenior Accountant positions * Prepares/maintainsmonthly financial statements for Haven programs * Performthe monthly close for hospitals which includes creating and posting allstandard journal entries for expenses items, expense review for appropriateintercompany coding, creating non-standard entries for manual accruals asappropriate, evaluating accounts receivable and calculating contractual neededon accounts receivable as needed * Reviews/prepareBalance Sheet account analysis * Performsad hoc reporting and analysis as needed * Actsa Controller/CFO and financial liaison to hospital and interacts extensivelywith Hospital CEO * Assistwith directs and oversees interim and year end audit processes and responds toaudit inquiries * Assistwith directs and oversees the compilation of cost reporting information forexternal vendor and timely submission of cost reports to CMS or respectivestate program * Ensureproperty, gross receipts tax, sale/use tax, and/or other tax filings and checkrequests are prepared and filed in accordance with regulatory body's statedtimelines and requirements * Assistwith key contributor in the annual budget process * Review bi-weeklypayroll to ensure appropriate application of corporate policies and accuratepayment, also review payroll entriesEDUCATION:Bachelor's Degree in Accounting preferred, Finance or Business degreesconsidered with requisite experienceCERTIFICATIONS/LICENSES:CPA or pursuing CPA preferredEXPERIENCE:Seven (7) to ten (10) years' progressive experience in accounting, withhealthcare experience required. Knowledge of healthcare receivables andallowances required. Experience withmonth-end close and variance analysis required.
