Technical Sales Engineer If you are in a technical sales role where you support external sales activity, or you are a field service engineer who loves the customer interaction, this role could be exactly what you are looking for to take your career to the next stage. We are looking for a Technical Sales Engineer to proactively develop our technical sales activity with existing and new customers. This role is an exciting opportunity for someone who has the technical background needed to pursue and quote for sales that are more complex in their requirements. This is a hybrid-working role, with some of your time based in our office in Newark and the rest of your time working from home or out on site with customers. Technical Sales Engineer Responsibilities: • Proactively follow up leads from the internal sales or service teams and provide quotations for a variety of projects – e. g. plant room installations, replacement boilers and associated ventilation equipment. • Visit customer sites and plant rooms to properly measure and quote for the correct technical solution for their needs. • Follow the quotation process through to the placement of customer orders and provide pre and post-sales support to ensure a positive stress-free customer experience. • Identify and establish new business and proactively follow up enquiries and quotations. • Identify new end-users in the service sector to maximise sales potential. Technical Sales Engineer Requirements: • Previous experience of success in a technical sales support role• Proven familiarity with current gas regulations and plant-room layouts• A current or recent Gas Safe Certification is a definite advantage• Good communication skills• A flexible, friendly, and enthusiastic approach• Plenty of self-motivation and lots of ambition• Good organisational skills: with a clear ability to plan and organise your own workload. • A valid UK driving licence required for frequent travel to customer sites...
