Electrical Craft Team Member Randstad Engineering are currently recruiting for an Electrical Craftsperson to work for TATA Steel in Port Talbot on a permanent basis. This position is paying a salary of GBP31,855 per annum alongside a broad range of benefits. You will be required to work 40 hours per week Monday to Friday on a day shift. The Role As an Electrical Craftsperson, you will perform preventative maintenance and inspection work, providing expertise and resources to identify and rectify faults in complex systems to ensure manufacturing continuity. Youll be responsible for ensuring all activity is undertaken within health, safety and environmental requirements and in compliance with company and legislative requirements. As an Electrical Crafts person you will be required to work as part of a team to ensure manufacturing performance on an ongoing basis, as well as supporting manufacturing development plans and identifying opportunities for improvement. Key responsibilities will include but not limited to: Providing engineering expertise and advice in order to diagnose and correct complex faults in the manufacturing process equipment. Developing expertise and keeping up to date in maintenance techniques and equipment development applicable to a heavy manufacturing environment by self: study and attendance on appropriate courses. Providing comprehensive reports on breakdowns, repairs and related engineering activities where appropriate recommending improvements to equipment or systems. Undertaking training as required for new specialists, other engineering grades, and manufacturing teams. Supervising Tata Steel or contract personnel and where necessary issue certificates of isolation as part of the safe system of work. Being familiar with many specific, modern day electrical systems including PLCs, Drives, AC and DC motor circuitry and being able to read and interpret electrical wiring and schematic drawings.
