Software Test Engineer: An exciting position has opened up at Edwards vacuum, a leading developer and manufacturer of sophisticated vacuum products, abatement solutions and related value: added services. The Position is Software Test Engineer. The role is paying GBP34: GBP35k and you will be working Monday to Friday day shifts with 33 days holiday per year (inclusive of bank holidays) The successful candidate will be committed to ensuring the quality of the software working in an Agile team. Key Responsibilities: To design computer: controlled electronic Automated Test Equipment for the production facility in Eastbourne PC. Building up the teams automated and manual test processes so that regression tests and end to end testing can be performed on the products reducing release times. There will be some need to travel to other Vacuum Technique sites and key suppliers as well occasional customer facing travel. Provide documentation required to maintain and operate test equipment. Key Skills/ Knowledge/ Experience: A Degree in Electronic Engineering or equivalent required. Alternatively an Electronics Diploma + demonstrated ability would qualify. Strong knowledge of electronics theory and some knowledge of electronics design. The ability to read and work from electronic schematics and system diagrams. Commercial python experience Strong investigation skills and ability to quickly establish problem root cause. An ability to read and understand computer programs developed in Visual Studio (C or VB. NET) Good team working ability and interpersonal communications skills. Competent in use of Microsoft Word and Excel.
