Our client is a leading supplier of engineering products/solutions to the automotive and aerospace industries. As a manufacturer of industrial consumables, they have a speciality in the adhesive tape market and have a new globally patented product which is taking the UK and European markets by storm. The companys ethos is to provide innovative solutions to problems and they hold various accreditations. The Role Based in the north of the UK, the export sales manager role is to develop sales into either the German or French market place. As the technical specialist you will have a good understanding of the automotive components market. You will need to speak one of the above languages, and substantial travel will be required. You will be need to be a hunter of new business opportunities and be able to convert leads into sales, and sales into orders. Salary Basic salary is c GBP60k DOE plus a generous bonus package based on sales orders Benefits Pension, generous holiday, healthcare. Responsibilities Identify and pursue new business opportunities in international markets Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and potential customers Negotiate and close Develop and implement sales strategies to achieve export sales targets sales deals with customers Monitor market trends and competitor activities to identify opportunities and threats Provide regular sales reports and forecasts to management Collaborate with cross: functional teams to ensure smooth order processing and delivery Stay updated on industry developments and regulations related to export sales Travel to customer sites and attend trade shows and industry events as required Requirements Fluency in German or French Preferably, experience in the automotive industry Based in the North of the UK Willingness to travel Technical knowledge, particularly in the automotive/engineering field Excellent sales skills Strong new business development skills Ability to communicate.
