This dynamic role is responsible for various real estate functions from start to finish, including customer relations and marketing, property acquisitions, sales and leasing, due diligence, negotiating, contact administration, internal consulting, and planning. This position works collaboratively with various internal stakeholders to leverage the City's considerable real estate holdings to support the City's " open for business" reputation and to contribute to a healthy local economic environment. Our ideal candidate You are known for building and maintaining cooperative and productive relationships with stakeholders. Well developed negotiating skills, with the ability to problem solve and exercise sound judgement. Ability to maintain confidentiality and understand political sensitivities and competing interests. Self directed and able to meet deadlines and prioritize several competing, complex and evolving projects. You have working knowledge of governing legislation, real estate law, contract law and other bylaws, policies and procedures related to real estate functions. Qualifications Successfully completed a bachelor's degree from a recognized post secondary institution in real estate management, commerce, marketing, business administration or related field. Additional specializations in real estate such as real estate appraisal, backssment, property management or land development practices would be considered an asset. Five years directly related real estate experience. Valid class 5 drivers license with an acceptable driving record. We thank all applicants; however only those selected for an interview.
