We are working with and supporting a fantastic school which is a special education needs school that caters for students with high: functioning autism and associated difficulties, including ADHD and complex needs. The majority of students will have either a Statement of Special Educational Needs or an Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP). They have an exciting opportunity for a driven, dedicated Post 16 Class Teacher to join their team. Specific Duties Include: Deliver a range of different BTEC Vocational Study units specific to the pupils interests and hobbies. Lead travel training trips to different locations within the local area to boost pupils confidence and independence. Build links with local companies to ensure pupils have work experience. Mark and backss pupils assignments to the BTEC specification and ensure work is quality assured. The teaching of pupil/s according to their individual educational needs and abilities. Planning, preparing and delivering lessons to all pupils that are appropriate to their age and ability. backssing, recording and reporting on the development of pupil progress, attainment and behaviour. Maintaining good order and discipline amongst all pupils and safeguarding their health and safety at all times. Sharing in any possible and reasonable way the effective management, organisation, order and discipline of the school.
