Job Posting Sessional Lecturer - PUN212Y5Y Introductory Punjabi This job is posted in accordance with the CUPE 3902 Unit 3 Collective Agreement. Course number and title : PUN212Y5Y Introductory Punjabi Course description : An introduction to the Punjabi language and is designed for students with little or no prior knowledge of Punjabi. Basic grammatical structures and conversational skills will be introduced as well as the gurmukhi script in which Punjabi is most commonly written. Contextual background about the history of Punjabi and the various contexts in which it has been used will also be discussed in class. Estimated course enrolment : 45 Estimated TA support : None. Class schedule : Tuesdays and Thursdays 1-3pm (Please see ttb. utoronto. ca ) [NOTE: The mode of instruction for this course is expected to be in-person. However, if this changes for any reason, you will be provided with as much advance notice as practicable. ] Sessional dates of appointment : September 1, 2023 to April 30, 2024 Salary : Sessional Lecturer I - $18,915.79 inclusive of vacation pay (1.0 FCE) Sessional Lecturer I Long Term - $19,861.58 inclusive of vacation pay (1.0 FCE) Sessional Lecturer II - $20,243.53 inclusive of vacation pay (1.0 FCE) Sessional Lecturer II Long Term - $20,653.23 inclusive of vacation pay (1.0 FCE) Sessional Lecturer III - $20,725.52 inclusive of vacation pay (1.0 FCE) Sessional Lecturer III Long Term - $21,140.03 inclusive of vacation pay (1.0 FCE) Please note that should rates stipulated in the collective agreement vary from rates stated in this posting, the rates stated in the collective agreement shall prevail. Minimum qualifications : Graduate-level degree is required. Demonstrated experience teaching Punjabi is required. Expertise in Punjabi cultural studies is required.
